There is a disease called NPH, Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, which is easily misdiagnosed as dementia, Parkinson's or Alzheimer's. NPH can be treated by inserting a shunt and is therefore called "treatable dementia". The Likvor CELDA® System measures the dynamics of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) system and the results is used to diagnose NPH. The Likvor CELDA® System is successfully used for investigating shunt function in patients with existing shunts.

"We have been able to avoid unnecessary shunt-revisions especially in patients with normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH) and therefore saved costs and have not unnecessarily caused inconvenience to patients." Mr. Leinonen declares.
